CRÓNICA DE UN SUCESO

About the show

A Journey in Time (Un viaje en el tiempo). Travelling through what happened. Antonio Gades in flamenco dance and our own vision of the facts. Gades, the artist as a guiding light, his persona as a hanger on which to suspend the concept, and his dance as the leitmotif of a show in which he is undoubtedly the protagonist and we are the ones responsible for bringing him back to the current scene. Gades on stage will be what he was and what we are. Gades will be the chronicle of an event. If we delve a little deeper into the background of this show, we will be able to see that Gades is very much to the fore: his ideas, his essence in dance, his revolution, his daring and his conception of the stage space. Through all of this, we will show that his vision was not so far removed from that of today.

Although this is a tribute to mark the 20th anniversary of his death, it is not a biographical show, nor is it intended to imitate him, although the turning points of his life will be our rudder on this journey. Based on these premises, we are building an impeccable path, with a language based on flamenco dance, which treads and crosses the most avant-garde lines.

“Chronicle of an Event” will be his dance and concept, in body and soul, brought into the 21st century.
